Future February 22, 2023
Future explored the hopes, aspirations, and fears of HWS students surrounding the future. Whether inspired by ideas of space travel or the art movement Futurism, this artwork demonstrated various perspectives on the passing of time.
Savage Sensuality March 15, 2023
Savage Sensuality was curated by Adriana Croce ‘25 as her Critical Museum Studies capstone project and consisted of work by artist Jafri ‘24. This exhibition urged viewers to consider what is left out of museum spaces through comparisons between canonical works of art and photographic recreations featuring people of color and gender-nonconforming people. The artwork in Nostalgia attempted to bring us as close to the past as possible, whether that meant reflecting on personal memories and relationships, or exploring the aesthetics of the early 2000s.
