About the Event

The Finger Lakes Institute at Hobart and William Smith Colleges will be hosting the 2026 Finger Lakes Research Conference on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the HWS campus. This year’s program will focus on emerging environmental and human health issues within the Finger Lakes and surrounding watershed, and informed solutions that improve environmental quality in communities across the region. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and will include morning and afternoon guest speaker sessions, panel discussions and poster presentations.

Please register early, registration will close on Jan. 21, 2026, or earlier if we reach maximum capacity.

  • Early-bird Registration (opens 12/5/25, closes 1/15/26): $75
  • Regular Registration (closes 1/21/26): $100
  • K-12 Classroom Teacher: $35
  • Student non-presenter: $35

Visitor Parking is available in the Medbury North Visitor Parking Lot, located on Pultney Street. Visitor parking passes will not be required the day of the conference.
