We are excited to offer our on-campus bike system, BikeHWS. These short-term rentals are available to you for rides around campus! Short-term rentals are no cost to students.

  • Download the “On Bike Share” app on your mobile device and search Hobart and William Smith to set up your profile.
  • Sign up using your HWS email address.

  • Use the app to find a BikeHWS rack. At the rack, rearch for available bikes. Start your ride!
  • Ride and return. BikeHWS is designed for short-term use. Return the bike to any BikeHWS rack. Use your app to find the closest one!
  • Lock bike to rack and click “End Ride” in your app.

BikeHWS is available from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Failure to return a bike to a BikeHWS rack within 24 hours of initial use will result in a $25 fine. After notification, failure to return a bike may result in the full replacement cost of the bike being charged to your student account.
