William Smith Soccer ID Clinic focuses on providing a quality learning experience in an environment where a small number of campers allow for the maximum individualized attention and interaction between the coaching staff and the players. William Smith’s tradition of excellence places it among the elite women’s intercollegiate teams, irrespective of the level of play. With a Division III record 31 NCAA tournament appearances, William Smith Soccer has captured two national championships (1988, 2013) and appeared in the national semifinals on 11 occasions (1987, 1988, 1993, 1995, 1997, 2002, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2019). The 2021 Heron soccer team went 19-2-1, captured its 14th consecutive Liberty League Championship, Elite 8 in NCAA National tournament and a record 3 NSCAA All-Americans. The program has produced 53 NSCAA All-Americans, 129 NSCAA All-Region selections, and 175 All-Liberty League picks.

ID CLINIC PROGRAM: "The William Smith Way"

At William Smith, the soccer team is predicated on team investment and the understanding of the importance of strong team dynamics. Players must analyze and acknowledge their roles in leadership, accountability and team building. With this working philosophy serving the program’s underpinning, player train and play harder for each other. This is the “William Smith Way”, and is also the platform for William Smith ID Clinic. Registrants will enjoy a hands on training session with coaching staff to expand and develop their awareness and understanding of our soccer program. Coaching staff and players will also provide a unique insight to the soccer program and culture in a Q & A session. Afterwards players and families will enjoy a presentation and campus tour by HWS Admissions.

CAMP DIRECTOR: Aliceann Wilber

She is the first woman in collegiate history to earn 600 wins, and her 612 wins puts her in first place on the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer all-time list and second among coaches in all divisions of women’s soccer. She has also been the Division III National Coach of the Year in 1987, 1988, 1991, 2008 and 2013.
