Chloe Ethier '20 recorded her best career-scoring average this season. The Herons’ Most Valuable Golfer Award winner was the team’s second finisher in four of five invitationals this season.

Anna Leffler '20 broke the William Smith 200-yard freestyle record in the prelims at the Liberty League Championships. That evening she lowered the record again to 1:54.54. A 2019-20 College All-American Strength & Conditioning Athlete of the Year, Leffler won 19 events this season.

Gabby Fraser '20 won all three of her matches at No. 2 on the ladder, leading the Herons to the 2019-20 Liberty League Championship, the Herons’ first conference title since 2005-06. She finished the year with a team-best 17-5 overall record.

Alan Dubrovsky '20 opened the season winning A flight singles and doubles at the St. Lawrence University Fall Classic. He went on to post an 11-3 overall record. Dubovsky finished his career with a 76-22 record in singles play, second most in program history.

Maggie Bonomo '22 was a team best 7-4 in singles play this year. She won the A flight Consolation bracket at the Mary Hosking Invitational to open the season.

Dan Sliney ’22 scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in Hobart’s 4-2 win over then No. 2 Trinity. The Statesmen posted a 20-5-3 record and earned their sixth consecutive invitation to the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship.

Julia Mings ‘21 scored the biggest goal of the year for the William Smith hockey team. She netted the game winner 30 seconds into overtime to beat fourth-ranked Elmira 4-3. It’s the highest ranked opponent the Herons have ever beaten.
