- Emma Berntheizel '15 takes a break while hiking the 2,190-mile Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine. She will begin a clinical internship this fall and attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in the Fall of 2017.

- Kitty Daniels, the longtime chair of the Cornish College of the Arts dance department, leads a ballet class as part of the Bill Evans Teachers Intensive conference held in the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts.
- Renowned choreographer and performer William Bill Evans teaches dance educators and artists from across North America during professional dance workshops hosted by the HWS Dance Department in the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts.

- Local businessman Dave Bunnell and Professor Emeritus of Anthropology and Sociology Jim Spates discuss their plans to refurbish the Dove Block on Exchange Street. The building once served as the studio for America's first abstract expressionist painter and a founder of American modernism, Arthur Dove, a member of the Hobart Class of 1903.
