- On the day after graduating magna cum laude in biochemistry from William Smith, MaryAlice Spin ’16 is sworn in as an ensign in the U. S. Navy Reserve. In August, Spin will begin four years of medical school at Upstate Medical University before applying to military residencies.
- Sarah Wethey Heieck ’97, president of the Geneva Scholarship Associates (GSA), thanks donors for their continued support of the community-driven organization that provides endowed scholarship funding to academically and financially deserving high school students from Geneva, N.Y.
- Teaganne Finn ’16 speaks of her experience at HWS thanks to the scholarship she received through the Geneva Scholarship Associates during the organization’s annual reception held this year in the L. Thomas Melly '52 Lobby of the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts. This fall, Finn heads to American University for a degree in investigative journalism.

Alums enjoy an afternoon on the Quad during Reunion 2016, which had record attendance with more than 1,200 members of the HWS community, including alums representing 50 class years and returning from as far away as Italy, Russia, Guatemala and England to enjoy the lineup of events. -
