- As the recipient of a prestigious 2017-18 Fulbright U.S. Student Award, Jordan Loretz ’17 will travel to Taiwan this fall to begin his tenure as an English Teaching Assistant. An Asian studies and music double major, Loretz plans to use music as a tool to help his students advance their English language comprehension and speaking skills.
- Students in the Advanced Drawing class with Professor of Art and Architecture Nick Ruth assemble their portion of the student art installation in Houghton House. The exhibit will open at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 28 in the Davis Gallery at Houghton House.
- In the Seneca Room, Senator Pam Helming (R-Canandaigua) speaks to HWS students and staff as well as members of the Geneva community highlighting funding in the New York State 2017-18 budget designated for water infrastructure and water protection, including in the Finger Lakes. The budget allocates $2.5 billion to help ensure access to clean, safe drinking water, while addressing water quality issues and infrastructure needs statewide.
