The pair launched a video series on Facebook and Instagram at @HWSOrientation to introduce incoming students to the campus and Geneva, N.Y. community.

The Office of Admissions welcomes prospective students and families to pre-register for a personal guided tour of campus, scheduled in half-hour intervals to ensure that all health, safety and social distancing protocols are followed.

- Updating the HWS job bank, Brandi Ferrara, director of the Salisbury Center for Career, Professional and Experiential Education, enters two new openings at Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pa. Carol Shanks Dougherty ’83, associate head of school, offered the positions following the alum call to action made by Past Chair of the HWS Board of Trustees Thomas S. Bozzuto ’68, L.H.D. ’18 and Current Chair Craig R. Stine ’81, P’17.

Natalie Miggins ’22 works at the Salvation Army in Geneva as a Summer of Service intern. In the position, Miggins is assisting with the food pantry and social media outreach. - Over Seneca Lake, Spencer Tretter ’21 waves out the window of his seaplane on a trip from Massachusetts to Michigan. Before making the trip, he alerted his adviser, Associate Professor of Geoscience David Kendrick, that he would be flying by.
- Volunteering for Love Geneva, Professor of Political Science Kevin Dunn, Professor of English Anna Credick and their daughter advertise meals that are given to those in need by holding signs on Castle Street. Each Sunday, approximately 100 meals are purchased from local restaurants and donated to local residents.
- HWS students, faculty and staff join community members for a Black Lives Matter march on Exchange Street. The protest was one of several held in Geneva in the wake of the death of George Floyd and in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
