Campus LifeOrientation Team Recruitment
The Office of Campus Life is excited to build our Orientation Team to welcome the Class of 2030!
Applications will be available starting Tuesday, March 10
The Orientation Team will welcome and introduce all entering students and their families to Hobart and William Smith Colleges!
The O-Team works directly with Campus Life and campus collaborators to welcome new students and their families to the HWS community! New student orientation will take place from Wednesday, August 26 through Sunday, August 30. Following this in-person experience, O-Team members will facilitate new student outreach coordinated by Campus Life during the first 3 weeks of the semester. The O-Team will assist with providing on-going support, encouragement, and resources to new students. Some examples include sending emails and text messages, bringing new students to Involvement Expo, meeting for a meal on campus, attending a campus event together. This continued outreach helps to ensure a smooth transition to the academic year and campus life.

ORIENTATION LEADERS
Are responsible for specific aspects of the program such as transfer students, event planning, spirit, orientation central, service, etc.
Compensation: $750

ORIENTATION MENTORS
Are trained to be facilitators who are responsible for a small group of new students or part of the campus relations team to execute the complexities of the weekend.
Compensation: $600

OL Training: Wednesday, August 19 – Saturday, August 22
OM Training: Saturday, August 22 – Tuesday, August 25
Orientation: Wednesday, August 26 – Sunday, August 30
The O-Team experience will conclude on Monday, September 14
