The Anderton Forum for Global Engagement brings leading diplomats, scholars and policy experts to campus for in-depth conversations on the forces shaping international affairs. Established through the generosity of former Trustee James F. Anderton IV ’65, the forum engages students and the broader HWS community with diverse perspectives on diplomacy, conflict, migration and global cooperation.

Recent speakers have included Marie Yovanovitch, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine who has served in some of the world’s most complex diplomatic posts, Séverine Autesserre, an expert on peacebuilding and international intervention, and Wendy Pearlman, whose work addresses broader questions of home, belonging, and the human resilience that sustains these concepts. For International Relations students, the forum offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with practitioners and scholars whose work shapes global policy, international cooperation and responses to today’s most pressing challenges.
