Frank Oplinger '18 works on this year's HWS RockSat-C project, which will become payload on a NASA rocket launching this June. The year-long project aims to detect changes in subatomic particles as the rocket passes through the Earth's atmosphere. - Fernando Banales-Mejia ’17 is working with Professor of Chemistry Erin Pelkey to develop a research proposal.

Vernon Lawson ‘16 and Ryan Davison ’17 research new methods for peptide and protein synthesis, which help develop anticancer drugs. Lawson and Davison are working with Associate Professor of Chemistry Justin Miller this summer. - HWS Fencing Club members Phil Yoo '19, Kevin Teel '17, James Truley '20, Colin Spencer '19, Nicholas Khan '20 and Merrill Turner '17 gather at the Annual Sean T. Horan Team Invitational hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology. The HWS saber team took home the gold at the tournament.

- The Hobart ice hockey team hits the ice for a group photo after winning the 2017 ECAC West Championship. The Statesmen will host Endicott in an NCAA tournament game on March 11 at 7 p.m. in The Cooler.

- On Saturday, the Hobart hockey team faced off against Utica College in its third straight ECAC West tournament championship game at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The Statesmen earned their third straight ECAC West tournament title with a 2-1 OT win.

- Frank Oplinger '18 makes a kick save during Hobart's 2-1 overtime win over Utica College on Saturday. Oplinger made 34 saves in 75:39 in goal.
- Alexandra Bird '17 puts a shot on goal during the Heron's 7-5 win over the State University of New York at Geneseo on Sunday. Bird logged her 100th career goal during the game, becoming the 21st Heron to reach the 100 goal mark.
