David Emerson ’27 loads the new 500 MHz nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) auto-sampler that was purchased thanks to HWS Trustee Kevin Stein ’88. While working with Professor of Chemistry Erin Pelkey, Emerson, Joan Reichert ’28 and Emma Sherwood ’28 have found that sunlight is all that is needed to perform Mallory-type electrocyclization reactions, a discovery that could prove useful in the search for new anti-cancer agents.

Sonam Drema '29 and Liam Mead ’28 work with Professor of International Relations Vikash Yadav to build Tableau skills and create interactive visualizations of their research projects. Drema is documenting immigration from India, while Mead is analyzing France's 2022 presidential election.
