Professor of Physics Steven Penn unveils a new scientific breakthrough in gravitational wave astronomy during a special campus event on Monday. Penn is an integral member of the global research team behind the discovery and LIGO which won the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics. The HWS event was held in conjunction with a National Science Foundation press conference.
