This 1932 photo features the William Smith Hill, home to women’s residence halls at HWS. Hirshson House was later constructed in 1962.

Constructed in 1965, Bristol Pool is now home to the William Smith swimming and diving team. Students were required to participate in a swimming test until a change was made to the curriculum in 1994.

The first residence hall for William Smith students, Blackwell House was constructed in 1863.
