In 1958, two William Smith tennis players shake hands on the newly constructed tennis courts. In 2017, the HWS Tennis Center features the Morrow Championship Court, the Melly Court and the Hebard Court. -
The Mini-Quad, made up of Bartlett, Durfee, and Hale, was built along with Gulick Hall in 1951. -
Built in 1890 and originally used as the Sigma Phi house, 601 South Main St. was renovated into the Finger Lakes Institute in 2004. -
The Hobart football team practices on the Quad in 1906. The team’s current home, Boswell Field was built in 1974. -
Ally Bryan '20 uses a micropipette to transfer DNA for her summer project with Associate Professor of Biology Brad Cosentino. Bryan is researching possible genetic differences and similarities between multiple subspecies of desert pocket gophers. -

At Dartmouth College, teaching assistant and postgraduate Daniel Choe '16 works with James Monaco '20 on a project for his electrical engineering course. Monaco is participating in HWS’s joint degree program with the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. -
Bethany Kharrazi '21 and Emma Wilber '21 conduct research in Napier Hall. The students are investigating the water quality of the Finger Lakes and measuring the presence of blue green algae in collaboration with Professor of Environmental Studies John Halfman. -

Kelsey Veeder '21 prepares for the fall semester in the First Generation Initiative (FGI) office in Sherrill Hall. Veeder's summer internship includes planning the FGI Pre-Orientation program and creating programming for the LGBTQ+ Resource Center. -
Isabella Siddall ’21 also holds an internship with the Smith Opera House this summer. Siddall assists with customer relations and event planning. -
Through a summer internship, Peggy Wagner ‘21 finalizes plans for this year’s Crusin’ Night at the Geneva Business Improvement District office. The festival will be held on Friday, July 27. -
In Deming Theatre, renowned choreographer and dance educator William “Bill” Evans performs with dance faculty from colleges across the world during the Somatic Dance Conference, Making Your Corner of the World a Better Place: Somatics, Science, Pedagogy and Performance. The conference was organized by Professor of Dance Cynthia Williams and Evans. -
