Part of a Finger Lakes Institute research project, the buoy monitors fluctuations in environmental conditions and water quality. This data supplements data acquired from weekly sampling on the lake regarding nutrient levels, algal and toxin concentrations and water chemistry. - Meg Quint '21 chats with Assistant Professor of Chemistry Elana Stennett in Rosenberg Hall. Quint and Stennett are researching the relationship between fluorescently-labeled proteins and the biofouling of membranes during desalination.
