- Students walk past the statue of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, which was created by Professor of Art and Architecture Ted Aub in 1994. Blackwell graduated from Hobart Colleges precursor, Geneva Medical College, in 1847 and became the first woman to receive a medical degree in the United States.
