In the Geneva Room, Associate Professor of Physics Steven Penn gives a public lecture about his work on the breakthrough international research that has detected gravitational waves for the first time in history. Penn played a major role in mirror substrate and coating design for the project which is being conducted by LIGO Scientific Collaboration.
