Davente Gilreath, of Garth Fagan Dance, leads a master lesson for students in Assistant Professor of Dance Kelly Johnsons class in the Deming Theatre of the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts.

Special guest Dr. N. Lynn Eckhert P99, professor of family medicine at the University of Massachusetts, joined Professor of Womens Studies Betty Bayers class to discuss Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell. The first woman to receive her degree as a Doctor of Medicine, Blackwell graduated from Hobarts precursor Geneva Medical College in 1849. Eckhert wrote a one woman play about Blackwell titled A Lady Alone. The class took place, appropriately, in the Blackwell Room.

President Mark D. Gearan reflects on the first presidential debate as a guest in Professor of Political Science Iva Deutchmans Campaigns and Elections class in Stern Hall.

Kathryn Hackett 17 and Polly Duddy 17 hold the Clarence Dave Davis Jr. 48 Internship plaque at the Davis Gallery at Houghton House. Hacket and Duddy are the 2016 recipients of the award.
