3 June 2011 Exciting Reunion 2011 Planned

As summer draws near, the excitement for Reunion 2011 grows. In what promises to be a truly memorable weekend, June 3, 4 and 5, the classes from 1961 to 2006 will celebrate five year milestones during this years Reunion festivities.

This years Reunionis jam-packed withgreat events and activities, but of course, the best thing about Reunionis thatitprovides theperfectvenue forrekindlingold friendshipsand making new connections. We all look forward to this weekend because its the Colleges best opportunity to show off whats new and improved on campus, all while reassuring our alums that so much is still just as they left it, says Director of Alumni Relations Jared Weeden 91.

This years reunion promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a weekend teeming with activities and opportunities to revive old memories of the Colleges and to create some new ones. Listen to live music throughout the weekend with jazz from alums Bob Masteller 60 and Steve Venuti 71, or break out your best dance moves when Brass Taxi performs during Saturday evenings Quad Party.

Alums can also head back to school beginning with a campus tour led by current students. They can revisit their days spent in Demarest Hall as well as see all of the new construction that has taken place since their last visit. On Friday, returning members of the HWS community can also attend a variety of afternoon symposia led by alums and current faculty, learning about everything from U.S. healthcare to the U.S. economy. For those who are unable to participate on Friday, many Alumni College Classes will be taught by HWS faculty on Saturday morning.

Even younger attendees are in for a fun-filled weekend. Saturday begins bright and early with Just for Teens, which incorporates a mini-college class, interactive sessions about how to find the right college and, of course, some quality Quad time! Kids Camp will also make a return, allowing kids of all ages to play games, enjoy the beautiful campus and eat pizza.

With excursions out on Seneca Lake aboard the William Scandling, athletic opportunities that include yoga and biking, as well as dinner and fireworks on the Quad Reunion 2011 will certainly be a weekend to remember!
