16 February 2018 • HumanitiesMentorship Spring Language Tables

French table isn't about perfect grammar. It's about speaking French with others who only want to help you improve and succeed, says Margaret Gretty Hollister '20, vice president of the Colleges' French Club, of the Language Conversation tables offered each semester to students diving into a new language or striving toward fluency.

Opportunities to practice, learn more about different cultures and meet new people throughout each department are offered weekly this semester:

French Language Table Mondays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Cellar Pub

German Language Table: Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Cellar Pub

Italian Language Table: Mondays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Intercultural Affairs Office

Spanish Language Table: Wednesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Cellar Pub

"These weekly meetings are a great way for students to share honest and meaningful experiences while exploring their interests," says the Julius G. Blocker '53 Teaching Fellow Anna Meinig of the German Studies Department. "Through conversations about the latest soccer games and the music scene, students are supporting each other using language skills."
