18 November 2005 Veeder honored by Financial Aid Administrators

Samantha J. Veeder, HWS director of financial aid, recently received a prestigious service award from the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association.

The Sister Bernadine Hayes and Rusty Hopkins Service Award honors continuing and outstanding service to the association at the regional and statewide levels.

Veeder's citation describes her life centered on both her real family and her financial aid family; and her work on the registration and program committees for the association's state conferences. She has also served on the awards and training committees.

The award was presented at the association's 37th annual conference at the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch hotel in Hauppauge, on Long Island.

A graduate of Ithaca College, Veeder has been director of HWS financial aid since early 1999, and previously worked at Keuka College. She and her husband, Steve, and their two children are ardent basketball fans. The family lives in Lyons.
