Students and fans alike will get a chance to see the first episode of Young Adulterated, a 10-part film series written, directed, and filmed by Steve Gemmiti 14.

Developed as an Honors project, the series premiere will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 28 at The Smith Opera House. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the event is free. Following the show, there will be a question-and-answer session with the cast.

In the Young Adulterated film series, the lives of five college students collide as they each try to navigate through an explosive junior year and deconstructs the classic conventions of college life.

Gemmiti, who worked under the guidance of his Honors adviser Professor of Media and Society Les Friedman, decided to create the film series at the beginning of his junior year, with the final product taking 15 months to complete.

At HWS, the Honors project is a rigorous academic offering that enables students to pursue specialized ambitions before graduation, while refining vital skills at an advanced level.

The film series stars: Tripp Aquadro 14, Emily Jaeckel 15, Molly Naef 16, Jeffrey Matos 16 and Chatham Anastasi 16. In addition to the five main student actors, Gemmiti says the series includes between 75 to 90 extras.

A media and society major with a minor in computer science, Gemmiti has dedicated countless hours to his interests in film and the entertainment industry.
