Gina M. Perini 95 has been named president and chief executive officer of SMS/800, Inc. She previously served as acting president and CEO since September 2013 and chief administrative officer and general counsel from August 2012 through September 2013.
Gina has done an exceptional job leading the company during her tenure as acting president and CEO. Based on Ginas proven ability to enhance our corporate and operational infrastructure, as well as advance the strategic objectives of the company, the Board of Directors has determined that it is the right time to name Gina as SMS/800s president and CEO and also welcome her as a member of the Board of Directors, said Gary Sagnella, chairman of SMS/800s nomination and governance committee of the board of directors, in a press release issued by the company.

Before serving in her capacity as chief administrative officer and general counsel of SMS/800, Inc., Perini was managing counsel at GTC Law Group LLP and Affiliates where she advised clients on business and global intellectual property matters in the technology, telecommunications, internet, new media, advertising and consumer product sectors. She has extensive knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, technology and licensing transactions, international privacy and data protection compliance. She also developed and led GTCs New Media practice group, an interdisciplinary practice combining strategic branding, privacy and internet law to support businesses in the digital economy. Prior to GTC, Perini was an associate at Foley Hoag LLP in the business and intellectual property practice groups.
Perini earned her B.A. in womens studies from William Smith and received her Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law. While at the Colleges, she was an organizer of the folk festival, a member of Hai Timiai and of the farm club.
