9 August 2005 Cowles show wins TANYS award

GENEVA The cast of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street recently received an award from the Theatre Association of New York State.

The award was for vocal performance; HWS Music Department Chair Bob Cowles played the title role in the show, which was staged in mid-July at the Smith Opera House in downtown Geneva.

TANYS, a non-profit organization, is the primary voice of non-professional and educational theatre in the Empire State.
