25 May 2005 Perkins Gives Opening Keynote at National Conference on Violence in College

Wesley Perkins, professor of sociology, was invited to give the opening keynote address for a national Violence Goes to College Conference held at Regis University in Denver, Colo., May 24. The title of his address was A Social Norms Perspective on Confronting Campus Violence. The two-day conference attended by college administrators, researchers, counselors, health educators, public relations staff, and security personnel focuses on violence prevention, interruption and critical incident management in higher education.
