3 May 2005 Spector at Squeezed States 05

Donald Spector, professor of physics, was an invited speaker at the ninth International Conference on Squeezed States and Uncertainty Relations in Besanon, France, on Monday, May 2. The conference had a special focus on the connections between number theory and quantum physics, an area in which Spector has produced a number of important contributions. Spector's talk was entitled Analogue Quantum Computing, offering a variety of ways to understand how the physics of quantum systems provides concrete representations of various quantities from arithmetic number theory.
