12 January 2005 Cummings article selected for Russian translation
Peter Cummings, professor of English and comparative literature, has had an article, The Most Unkindest Cut of All: Anatomy in Shakespeare, selected to be translated into Russian and published in The Shakes-Readings, 2004, a volume now in press in Moscow. The article traces Shakespeare's 12 uses of the relatively new word in English, anatomy, in a wide variety of technical, metaphoric, and humorous uses throughout the plays.
