The Department of Political Science is sponsoring a talk by Conservatism expert Corey Robin, associate professor of political science at Brooklyn College and the CUNY Graduate Center, on Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in Demarest 014.
Rubin is the author of The Reactionary Mind: Conservatism from Edmund Burke to Sarah Palin and Fear: The History of a Political Idea.
Following Robins talk the campus community will have a chance to hear responses from Professor of Political Science Iva Deutchman and Instructor of History Stephen Frug.
The Reactionary Mind won the Best First Book in Political Theory Award from the American Political Science Association. With his expertise in Conservatism and familiarity with the current political climate in America this is sure to be a provocative discussion.
