Carolina Oakley 13 will spend her summer as an intern for CBS Television Distributions Inside Edition, the longest-running news magazine program on television. Hailing from Long Island, N.Y., Oakley will relocate to New York City to work in the shows public relations department.
I hope to get experience that will further guide me toward what it is I want to do in the field of PR -helping me decide whether I want to work in the entertainment or event planning aspect of public relations.
Currently in its 24th season, Inside Edition has earned numerous awards and accolades. It is hosted by Deborah Norville and presents an eclectic mix of hard hitting news stories, exclusive interviews, human interest programing and pop culture.
By the end of the summer, Oakley hopes to be offered the opportunity to intern in Boston at a fellow CBS company.
Oakley is a media and society major with a minor in English.
