4 January 2013 Hoagland to Deliver Ann Palmeri Lecture

This year, the annual Ann Palmeri Lecture in Feminist Philosophy, delivered by Northeastern Illinois Professor Emerita Sarah Lucia Hoagland, will engage the Colleges in a discussion of Feminist Advocacy Research, Relationality, and the Coloniality of Knowledge. On Tuesday, Feb. 5, Hoagland will deliver her talk at 5 p.m. in the Geneva Room.

Were very lucky to have Professor Hoagland deliver this years Ann Palmeri Lecture. She has made significant contributions to so many areas of philosophy, says Associate Professor of Philosophy Karen Frost-Arnold. Her work raises fundamental questions in feminist ethics and epistemology, lesbian philosophy, philosophy of race, and postcolonial theory.
