5 October 2004 McPeters Company Developed Online Travel Booking for Recreational Vessels

Baltimore-based Marinalife LLC and a Massachusetts navigation technology company are teaming to bring the conveniences of online travel booking from the desktop to the helm, according to an article in the Sept. 17 Baltimore Business Journal, titled City's Marinalife makes waves in yacht-Web tech. Marinalife has created a centralized Internet-based reservation system for marinas that it calls a cruising concierge system. The five-person company is combining its system with technology developed by Amesbury, Mass.-based Maptech to bring a range of navigation and communications tools to boaters on the water.

The CEO of Marinalife is Joy Koch McPeters, a member of the William Smith Class of 1991.
