President Gregory J. Vincent 83 spoke at University of Pennsylvania this weekend in a panel titled The Future of Higher Education. Vincent, along with Penn faculty, discussed pressing issues influencing colleges and universities across the nation.
The event was part of Penns Homecoming Weekend. Vincent, who earned his doctorate in higher education management from Penn, is the recipient of the 2016 Penn Educator of the Year Award, which recognizes a dedicated educator who is an inspiration, risk-taker, innovator, and role model with a commitment to resolving current issues in education.
At Penn, Vincents dissertation focused on diversity and community engagement. His research reflected his profound commitment to building strong, vibrant democratic communities, said Matthew Hartley, associate dean and professor at Penns Graduate School of Education.
