11 July 2017 • Athletics Salita '19 Interns at Red Circle Agency

This summer, Jonah Salita '19 of Excelsior, Minn., has joined the Red Circle Agency in Minneapolis, as a copywriting intern, developing insight into the fields of marketing and advertising.

The Red Circle Agency uses consumer data to drive strategy. With more than 15 years of experience working in the gaming and hospitality industry, the Red Circle team is made up of casino strategists, advertising agency veterans and technology experts. In 2015, Red Circle was recognized as one of the nations fastest-growing private companies by Inc. Magazine.

"My coworkers have created a work environment that is not only extremely productive but also energetic and inviting," says Salita, a media and society major.

After participating in a job-shadowing experience at Fallon Worldwide during winter break, Salita says he discovered his interest in advertising. Fallon Worldwide is an advertising agency also based in Minneapolis.

A member of the Hobart tennis team, Salita was connected with Red Circle after discussing his passion with his physical therapist Swen Marie-Germann, whose husband Chad Germann is the founder and CEO of the agency.

"In the first few weeks of my internship, I have had the opportunity to try my hand at copywriting and branding. I cannot wait to continue pursing bigger projects and pushing the limits of how far creativity can take me," says Salita.

Red Circle has done branding and advertising for several casinos throughout the Midwest, including Four Winds Casino Resort, Grand Casino, Kentucky Downs, and many more. The company assists with branding for the casinos and website design. Red Circle also creates radio, television, and print advertisements for its clients.

On campus, Salita is a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, the Budget Allocations Committee, and the HWS Food Services Committee. He was also a member of the Orange Key and Chimera honor societies.
