10 January 2020 Knox 22 Makes Team Canada Roster

TheCanadian Lacrosse Association recently announcedthe 32 players who will remain in the evaluation process for the final 23-man roster that will play in the 2020 Mens Lacrosse U19 World Championship in Ireland in July. The list includes Hobart College sophomore attackmanJason Knox.

A member of the 2019 NEC All-Rookie Team, Knox started all 16 games of his first season with the Statesmen. He recorded at least a point in every game, finishing with 41 points. An accurate shooter, Knox led the NEC and was 13th in the nation with a .456 shooting percentage. He scored a Hobart Division I era record nine goals in just his second collegiate game as the Statesmen won 22-12 at Siena.

Knox was second on the team with 36 goals last season, the most scored by a first-year in Hobarts Division I era. He broke the previous mark set by teammate and fellow countrymanJustin Scottby seven.

Knox was one of 73 players that competed at an evaluation camp in Oshawa, Ontario, in late October. A second evaluation camp in the spring will be used to determine the final Team Canada roster that will compete in Limerick, Ireland, July 9-18.

Team Canada won the silver medal at the 2016 U19 championships.
