The Colleges annual social media extravaganza#HWSDay, a celebration of all things Hobart and William Smith, will take place tomorrow, Tuesday,April 25. Members of the HWS community, including current students, faculty, staff and alums, are encouraged to show off their school spirit on social media.
During the day, a portion ofthe main page of the HWS websitewill transform into a live feed, displaying posts made by community members on campus and across the country using #HWSDay.
Students will have the opportunity to win prizes by participating in the #HWSDay photo contest. This year, there are 10 categories including: best campus photo, best show of HWS spirit,best Seneca Lake photo and best photo with a campus sculpture. Participants can submit photos takenany time in the past year.
Prizes include an Amazon Echo Dot, HWS gearandan #HWSDay care package.The winner of this yearsMost Versatile Participant (MVP) award will receive his/her name engraved on the #HWSDay trophy in addition to an iPad.The winning #HWSDay photos from each category will also be featured in This Week in Photos on the HWS website.
