31 July 2019 HWS Named to Kiplingers Best Value Colleges

In its 2019 rankings of Best Value Colleges, the Washington, D.C.-based financial and business publisher Kiplinger listed Hobart and William Smith among the nations top colleges and universities.

Kiplingers rankings take into account academic quality including acceptance, retention and graduation rates alongside tuition and financial aid related data. HWS placed 82nd among liberal arts colleges and 164th among the 400 total institutions listed.

This most recent recognition follows several other national accolades. Earlier this year, thePrinceton Reviewranked the Colleges alumnae and alumni network 15thin the nation in the 2019 edition of the The Best Value Colleges: 200 Schools with Exceptional ROI for your Tuition Investment.

Last year, for the second year in a row, thePrinceton Review ranked the Colleges study abroad program first in the country. The 2019 edition ofThe Best 384 Collegesalso ranks HWS at seventh in the nation for best student-rated professors (up from 18ththe previous year), as well as 10thfor most politically active students and 19thfor intramural sports participation.

Also in 2018, for the second year in a row, Hobart and William Smith Colleges were named the top liberal arts institution for service inWashington Monthlys College Guide and Rankings.
