13 February 2007 HWS is off to the Beltway and Baltimore

Q: What do the director of the Shakespeare Theatre, a project coordinator for National Geographic, one of D.C.s leading commercial real estate agents, and an educator from Baltimore have in common?

A: They are all Hobart and William Smith alums who will gather this week in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore to launch celebrations for Campaign for the Colleges.

Nicholas Goldsborough 67, managing director of The Shakespeare Theatre, Gail Herman McGinn 73, member of the Board of Trustees, Mitchell Schear 80, president of Vornado/Charles E. Smith Commercial Realty, and Meredith Trainor 05, project coordinator for the Center for Sustainable Destinations for National Geographic, will share their reflections on Thursday, Feb. 15 at the Washington Golf and Country Club. The Colleges 12-member vocal ensemble, Cantori, directed by Professor Robert Cowles, will also travel to the celebration.

The following day, Cassandra Naylor Brooks 89, an educator, Holly Clark, a William Smith senior, Arthur Lambert 58, president and owner of Lambert Insurance Agency, and Keegan Prue, a Hobart sophomore, will share stories of their college experiences at The Maryland Club in Baltimore.

The $160 million campaign that kicked off in September now exceeds $103 million in gifts and pledges. To find out more about the largest capital campaign in the history of Hobart and William Smith visit Campaign for the Colleges.
