7 December 2006 Jazz concert to feature a variety of styles

The community is invited to attend the HWS Colleges Jazz Ensemble concert beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 in the library's Geneva Room.

The concert will range over a variety of jazz styles and pieces, from old standbys like Stella by Starlight, to the modern Norah Jones and the innovative melodies of reggae, funk and Latin jazz.

This is a very exciting group, said Bob Barbuto, a jazz pianist and the director of the Ensemble. They have a lot of energy, they're very focused and the music is exciting people will love it.

Admission is free.
