23 November 2006 Activist to conclude Fisher Center fall series

The Fall Fisher Series will conclude with a talk by Jennifer Pozner, Broadcasting, Bombs and Babes: Women's Activism for Media Justice, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29 in the Geneva Room of the library.

Pozner is founder and director of Women In Media and News, a women's media analysis education and advocacy organization. She has questioned why the war in Iraq is not being reported as a women's issue.

A roundtable discussion will begin at 8:45 a.m. the next morning, followed by a workshop on media activism or, how to get your voice in the media. Both Thursday events will be in the Fisher Center, 212 Demarest.
