24 August 2006 International students welcomed from 15 countries

President and Mary Gearan and their family officially welcomed 18 international students and their families to campus on Wednesday, Aug. 23 as a part of the International Student Orientation.

In attendance were approximately 70 students, parents, faculty, staff and community members who joined in welcoming students from Canada, China, Iran, Pakistan, Portugal, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Ukraine, Scotland, S. Korea, Germany, Vietnam, India, Hong Kong, and South Africa.

International Student Orientation provides incoming international students with the opportunity to get assimilated with campus and their surroundings before the all campus orientation begins.
