16 January 2003 Mittiga 94 Promoted to Vice President and Regional Sales Manager

The Savings Bank of the Finger Lakes is merging with First Niagara Financial Group Inc., the merge complete at the close of business Jan. 17. Bank president and CEO Thomas Bowers will then become a trustee on First Niagaras 13-member board. Kelly Mittiga '94 has been named vice president and regional sales manager for First Niagara. Mittiga is currently the Savings Banks vice president of human resources. She was manager of the banks Pyramid Mall office for five years before being promoted to her current position last year. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from William Smith College in 1994.

Six of the Savings Banks seven branches, which First Niagara refers to as banking centers, will reopen Tuesday.
