Bishop George E. Packard '66 was featured in the New York Times series on the Ten Commandments. The series focuses on each of the Ten Commandments and individual struggles to comply with them, reject them or cope with them. Bishop Packard was an Army lieutenant who led a platoon in Vietnam that set up ambushes, before he was ordained. Since the Vietnam war he has dealt with the guilt of violating the commandment Thou shalt not kill.
