Cedric Kwesi Johnson, assistant professor of political science, had an editorial titled Rethink Balance Between Tech, Worker published in the Nov. 29 issue of the Lakeland, Fla., The Ledger. The International Longshore and Warehouse Union has emerged victorious in its efforts to insure greater worker voice and job security in the face of technological change, wrote Johnson. The victory should challenge us to rethink the relationship between corporate technological innovation and the interests of American working people.
