A four-year letter-winner for the Hobart soccer team, Terens was a starter on defense in his final three seasons. He helped the Statesmen win at least 10 games in each of his four seasons, posting a 13-3-2 record as a senior. That year, Terens and his Hobart teammates finished second in the Liberty League with a 5-1-2 record. In 57 career matches, Terens produced five goals and seven assists.
