“As a Canadian, it is pretty special. Just to be a small part of the city’s reputation and work among some important people is something I’m greatly appreciative of and looking forward to,” says Albinati, a Prince George, British Columbia-native.

As a Global Wealth Summer Analyst, he will work on a 10-week project, contributing to client analytics and proposals while gaining general experience in various areas under the wealth management umbrella, including banking, investments, lending and wealth planning.

He is thankful for the support and guidance he received from Managing Director and Global Head of Citi Global Wealth at Work Mehrnaz "Naz" Vahid Ahdieh '85, P'17 as well as the HWS Career Services team. “One of the first things that connected me to Hobart was the Career Services team and how successful alums are here and where they are now, especially in the financial world,” says Albinati.

A forward on the Hobart hockey team, he has played in 10 games during his two seasons at Hobart, recording three points on a goal and two assists. This season, Albinati helped the Statesmen capture the 2023 National Championship, the first national championship in program history.

Albinati thanks his hockey teammates and fellow economics majors, who supported each other throughout the process of finding internships. As a first-generation student, he also stresses how important his family’s support has been.

As well as the internship itself, he says Toronto is an exciting summer destination. “I’ve only really been there briefly during the summertime, so to spend more time there and to get to know the city is something I’m really looking forward to.”
