Four members of the William Smith College field hockey team earned a spot on the 2015 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-Region Teams. SeniorMadison Finnand sophomoresAlexandra FraryandHannah Woodgarnered North Atlantic first team honors and juniorAlessandra Patriziowas named to the second team.

A first team All-Liberty League selection this season, Finn led the Heron defensive line. The captain set a William Smith season record with nine defensive saves. She recorded multiple defensive saves in one goal victories over Ithaca and Rochester. Finn recorded a penalty stroke goal to finish the year with two points. In 80 career games as a Heron, she collected seven goals and seven assists for 21 points. Finn finished her career with 11 defensive saves, second most by a Heron in a career.

Frary, a unanimous first team All-Liberty League selection, finished fourth on the team with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points. She played an important two-way roll in the midfield for William Smith. As the center midfielder, she was instrumental in triggering the Herons offensive transition. Frary was also named the Liberty League Tournaments Most Valuable Player after scoring the game-tying goal against Rochester in the championship match. She also notched a goal and an assist in William Smiths second round victory over Bridgewater in the NCAA tournament.

For the second straight year, Wood led the team in goals (29) and points (65). A unanimous first team All-Liberty League selection, she finished second in the conference and third in the nation in goals per game (1.38) and second in the conference and fifth in the nation in points per game (3.11). Woods 29 goals this year were the second most by a Heron in a single-season, one behind Kimberly OGormans season record of 30. Her 65 points were two behind OGormans 67 from 1987 and five behind Sophie Riskies 70 from 2006. Wood matched a William Smith game record with four goals in a game twice, once against then No. 19 New Paltz and then again in the Herons Liberty League tournament semifinal victory over Vassar.

Patrizio finished second on the team in goals with 23 and points with 52. She finished the regular season third in the conference in goals per game (1.10) and points per game (2.48). Patrizio opened the season with an eight-game scoring streak, notching at least one goal in each of the Herons first eight games. She compiled two hat tricks this season, including a four-goal game against Geneseo that tied the William Smith game record.

William Smith finished the season with an 18-3 overall record, which included the programs 11th Liberty League Championship and 22nd NCAA Championship appearance.
