Last month, Gov. Bobby Jindal named Michael Reed 06 as the GOP governors deputy communications director. Reed was most recently research director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee in Washington, D.C.
He earned his B.A. in public policy studies from Hobart College and minored in political science. While a student, he was a member of the golf team.

Jindal looks towards Washington DC with new deputy communications director

Today, Governor Bobby Jindal looked towards Washington, D.C., when announcing his Deputy communications director, who will replace Aaron Baer who is leaving to pursue opportunities in the private sector.
Michael Reed most recently served as Research Director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) in Washington D.C. He worked at the NRSC for four years, helping the party gain a net of five Senate seats.
Prior to his work at the NRSC, he worked as a research analyst at McCarthy, Hennings Media. Previously, Reed worked in the research department on former Governor Mitt Romneys 2008 presidential campaign. Reed received his undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Hobart College in Geneva, New York. He is originally from Andover, Massachusetts.
