AIM Services has named Christopher Lyons 81 senior director and counsel in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. In this position, Lyons will oversee AIMs legal affairs in addition to staff development and human resources.

AIM Services is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides community and residential-based programs, including advocacy and education, to individuals with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.

AIM President Martin Glastetter added, The addition of Chris Lyons is a huge step forward for us. AIM has reached a point where an in-house attorney is an important element of our management group.

A seasoned trial attorney who frequently represents human services agencies, Lyons previously served as national counsel for CNA Insurance Companys Human Services Program and most recently as a principal in the Upstate New York law firm Towne, Ryan and Partners, P.C. He has been selected into the National Order of Barristers and repeatedly recognized as a New York Super Lawyer.

Lyons has also worked for the Third Department of New York States Supreme Court, Appellate Division as law clerk to both Senior Associate Justice T. Paul Kane and Presiding Judge A. Franklin Mahoney. Active in several bar associations, Lyons currently serves on New York State Bar Associations Committee on Issues Affecting People with Disabilities. A 1988 graduate of Albany Law School, Lyons was an associate editor of the Law Review, was named Outstanding Young Alumnus, served as president of the alumni council, and is a former member of the schools board of trustees.

He graduated from Hobart College with a B.A. in philosophy. During his time at HWS, he was a Druid, in the Hobart senior honor society, worked at Saga Dining Hall, and played Junior Varsity Soccer. He was also awarded the Joseph L. Morse Scholarship.
